Rosanne Middleton-Hanley
Rosanne Middleton-Hanley is a retired graphic designer who owned and operated an advertising agency in Toronto for 39 years. Since 2007, she has taken art classes with Donnah Cameron, Don Cavin, John Pryce, Marc Gagnon, Susanne Clark and more recently Bogdan Luca and Rob Nicholls from OCAD U. She has traveled to Italy, Ireland, Algonquin Park and Geneva Park with art instructors attending plein air workshops.
Since 2014, Rosanne has taught life drawing, acrylic, oil and watercolour art classes. She offered art classes through ArtClassesUxbridge.ca during the winter in Uxbridge and ArtClassesPEC.ca during the summer in Prince Edward County.
She now lives at her Art School and Lavender Farm in Black River and paints plein air whenever possible during the summer. The County is a marvelous place to paint in her expressionistic style. The best part of being an artist and painting plein air is knowing how to be in the moment and trusting that whatever you create will work out. Exploring new tricks and techniques which will bring creative results more quickly and efficiently. This is always a thrill and an ongoing challenge.
