21st Annual Exhibition re-opens in response to public demand

From the arctic stretches of the Top of the World to the St. Lawrence Seaway, from turbulent seas to the action of sail boats racing, from the Navy coming home to historic maritime battles, all is portrayed in the paintings of this 21st Annual Exhibition by the Canadian Society of Marine Artists.

The Society was established in 1983 to encourage excellence in art and to preserve our marine heritage. Originally based on the West Coast, the Society is expanding through the Great Lakes to the Maritimes, and is now based in Prince Edward County, Ontario, at 2 Gladstone Avenue, Picton.

The current exhibition features some of Canada's finest marine artists members Yves Bérubé, Harry Heine, John M. Horton, O. K. Schenk, and Ray Warren are all represented, as are the juried invited exhibitors Malcolm Armstrong, Mark Boden, Ken Deeley, Daniel Richards, and Tibs Yardley-Latham.

The exhibition, after a recent formal vernissage at the Waring Hall, will re-open at the Picton Art Gallery, 133 Main Street, Picton from Friday April 16th at 5pm through Sunday April 25th. All are welcome and admission is free. The works of art for sale unless otherwise indicated.
