A total of fifty works by eleven artists are shown, with subjects covering our Arctic, Atlantic and West coasts as well as the Great Lakes, naval scenes from the time of Wolfe through the World Wars to Operation Apollo, explorers, cruise liners, merchantmen and sailing yachts.
The current exhibition features some of Canada's finest marine artists: CSMA members Yves Bérubé, Harry Heine, Bo Hermanson, John M. Horton, O. K. Schenk, and Ray Warren are all represented, as are invited exhibitors Malcolm Armstrong, Mark Boden, Ken Deeley, Daniel Richards, and Tibs Yardley-Latham. The works of art are for sale unless otherwise indicated.
The Society was established in 1983 to encourage excellence in art and to preserve our marine heritage. Originally based on the West Coast, the Society is expanding through the Great Lakes to the Maritimes, and is now based in Prince Edward County, Ontario, at 2 Gladstone Avenue, Picton.
